MGS in Need of a Student with Knowledge/Interest in Communications and Marketing for AY 2014-15 Job Description: The Program in Modern Greek Studies at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign is seeking to employ an hourly-paid graduate or undergraduate student from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, to help promote the program. The student should have excellent knowledge of social media such as Facebook and Twitter, and is expected to help redesign the programˇ¦s website, update the websiteˇ¦s content and look, write blogs and newsletters, design posters and publicity material and assist the program with the organization and publicity of its events. Appointment to this position will be initially made for the Fall 2014 semester, renewable for another semester (Spring 2015), upon satisfaction by the program and the appointed student, and, contingent on availability of funds and satisfaction of both sides, for a longer period thereafter. Duties: The student who takes the position is expected to: „h assist with redesigning of the Program in Modern Greek Studiesˇ¦ existing website „h update the websiteˇ¦s content and design „h craft communications that promote the programˇ¦s activities via a variety of channels including blogs, newsletters, e-mails as well as social media such as Facebook, Twitter and others „h design posters and publicity material „h assist the programˇ¦s director with the coordination and publicity of the programˇ¦s events Hours of Work per Week: 8-10 hours per week Length: Initial appointment will be for the Fall 2014 semester, renewable for another semester (Spring 2015), upon satisfaction by the program and the appointed student, and, contingent upon availability of funds and satisfaction of both sides, for a longer period thereafter. Payment: This is a paid position and payment will be $12-15 per hour, depending on the appointeeˇ¦s skills.
