Save the Date! 2012 Awards Gala Date and Venue Announced

On June 16, 2012, the PanHellenic Scholarship Foundation will host its annual Awards Gala at two illustrious venues - The Merle Reskin Theatre & the Hilton Chicago. First, the Awards Ceremony will be held at the historic Merle Reskin Theatre, originally founded in 1910 and home to countless unique productions spanning the last century. Following the Awards Ceremony, guests will continue their evening across the street at the Hilton Chicago, where they will enjoy cocktails, dinner and dancing. Uniquely presented by a well-known personality and featuring world class entertainment, the Gala is considered to be the premier social event of the Greek American Community, attended by hundreds of supporters, distinguished guests, past and present award recipients, and their families.

Our Awards Ceremony celebrates not only the academic brilliance and high aspirations of our Scholarship recipients, but also the lifelong achievements of a successful Greek American whose career and accomplishments serve as a testimony to the Foundation's mission. This recognized individual is honored with a Paradigm Award, and symbolizes a paradigma - an example - for our students to follow. The Paradigm Award recipient will be announced soon.

Scholarship Application

The new scholarship application became available in May, and the Foundation has already received many letters of recommendation and supporting materials from applicants. Each year the Foundation receives hundreds of applications from eligible Greek American students and on June 16, 2012, forty (40) new recipients will be announced at the Awards Ceremony.

From Our Award Recipients

"I want to extend my deepest appreciation for being awarded the PanHellenic Scholarship Award. It is such an honor to be chosen for this award and being a member of this Society means so much to me. I had flown in from Boston and attended the beautiful Awards Gala in Chicago, and had a fantastic experience there that night. Mr. Tomaras' words have been taken to heart and I hope I can follow his lead and help make a difference for other Greek Americans in college and beyond."
